Frequently Asked Questions

    • Separate from other birds.

    • Keep as dry as possible.

    • Hand carry or transport in a clean dry bag.

    • Wrap head and feet in damp paper towels.

    • Lay the head flat on the birds back.

    • Place in large freezer style ziploc bags.

    • Remove as much air as possible. DO NOT vacuum seal.

    • Mark bags with day/month/year of harvest.

    • If possible DO NOT use the finisher tool on the bird.

    • DO NOT break or wring the birds neck.

    • If packaged correctly it can be in the freezer 3 years or longer.

    • Depending on the type and extent of damage, the bird may or may not be mountable.

    • If possible DO NOT allow your dog to retrieve a trophy bird.

    • If possible please DO NOT use neck straps.

    • Late season birds are always better candidates for mounting.

    • Best months to target trophy birds are December/January.
